Our Year 6 Kingfishers attended East Point Academy last week for pre-match Quick Sticks Training. Their behaviours and sportsmanship was exemplary - well done Kingfishers and good luck for the Tournament.
As part of Woodpeckers and Kestrel Classes topic this term of ‘Harvest’, we have arranged for an educational visit on Friday 8th October to Hundred River Farm at Sotterley, which is a beautiful family run farm and maize maze. The trip aims to embrace younger children’s fascination with the natural world, through exploring creativity and learning about the important themes of our ecological and natural environment.

Our Year 6 Kingfishers are heading off to Lowestoft Rugby Club next week for a Tag Rugby Tournament with Norfolk & Suffolk School Games - Best of luck Kingfishers - can you kick it? - YES YOU CAN!
We also welcome Mr Jordan who joins us from Gunton Primary Academy as our Associate Headteacher, who is delighted to be at Phoenix for the next phase of our school development.
We are delighted to welcome Mrs Freeman as Deputy Head from September, as well as being our SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Mrs Freeman has joined us from Northfield St. Nicholas Primary Academy and is very much looking forward to spending many years at Phoenix St. Peter Academy, supporting the school, children and our families.
We also welcome Miss North to our Learning Support Team in September, working with our Year 6 Class. Miss North has lots of experience currently working with Year 7 children and is looking forward to joining us. She has previously lived in Japan and is looking forward to sharing her love of travel with the children.
We would like to wish a warm welcome to Miss Lack who is joining us in September as part of our Learning Support Assistant Team, working with our Year 3 children. Miss Lack has lots of experience as a PE and Outdoor Learning Instructor and is really looking forward to joining the Phoenix team.

On the last day of term we had a wonderful Afternoon Tea to celebrate Lynne's Long Service Retirement. We are so grateful for the many years of service, her friendship, and for all the grazed knees and tears she has wiped. Thank you Lynne, come and see us again soon!
