After many years of supporting our children at Phoenix St. Peter Academy, Mrs Wicks will be semi-retiring at the end of this academic year to spend more time with her husband, so that they can travel and enjoy a more leisurely lifestyle! We are so very grateful for the wonderful care and commitment that Mrs Wicks has given to the children she has supported, and to our school, and are very pleased that she will continue to work at Phoenix on an occasional basis going forward. Thankyou Mrs Wicks, we look forward to celebrating your retirement at the end of term!
Phoenix St. Peter Academy Midday Supervisor, Lynne Hart has decided to hang up her apron and whistle at the end of this academic year, having completed 30years of service at the school. Staff, children and parents all wish her the very best for an equally long and happy retirement, and thank her for her dedicated service which has seen her support an astonishing 5,000 children over the years. Thankyou Lynne, you've been a star!

Year 6 were visited by Mrs Wisher from East Point Academy last week, to talk about their exciting new start to high school in September! It was a chance for pupils to know a little more about their transition week starting July 12th and an opportunity to discuss any worries or ask questions (which pupils prepared beforehand). They showed great maturity and made a fantastic first impression.
Year 6 are feeling positive about the next part of their journey in education and as part of their transition process in school, we are working through the book 'You are Awesome' by Matthew Said, as well as weekly transition sessions focused on well-being.
