Archie in Year 2 has been thinking hard about Christmas and how a child might feel if they did not receive a gift this year, so Archie has suggested we hold a 'Come to school in your slipper's day' to fundraise for our local Salvation Army's Christmas Gift Appeal and to set a school record for the largest number of children in school wearing slippers!
Children in Years 1,2,3 & 4 will be attending a Christingle service at St. Peter's and St. John's Church, Rectory Road, Lowestoft on Thursday 11th December from 2.00p.m - 3.00p.m.
Families are welcome to come and join us at the church.
As part of their religious education lesson, children in Year 4 will have the joy of decorating this year's Christmas Tree with Madame. Mizeret.
Selected children from Year 3 will be attending a Tennis Festival on Tuesday 2nd December at Sir John Leman High School.
Children will return to Phoenix St. Peter at 3.45p.m for collection.
For our School Council fundraising, we will be having a Children In Need disco with DJ Mr. Russell on Friday 14th November from 3.15pm-5.00pm.
Tickets cost £2.50 per child and will be on sale at the front office from Monday 10th November.
This is also a non-school uniform day, so that children will be disco-ready!
We will be having a 'SPOTacular' themed non-school uniform day for all children on Friday 14th November to celebrate this year's Children In Need.
To help raise funds for this year's Children In Need, we will have a Pudsey Postbox in school for children to post their pennies throughout the day.
As part of our 11B411 Caring Campaigner Promise, Year 1 and 2 children will be decorating cakes and biscuits to sell to the whole school in The Studio on Thursday 13th November from 3.15-4.00pm, raising funds for Children In Need. #11Before11
In association with the YMCA, starting Thursday 6th November, we will be holding a lunch club from 12.30-1.10pm.
This lunch club is available to all year groups and will run every Thursday until Easter.
Anti-Bullying Week is from Monday 10th November through to Friday 14th November.
On Wednesday 12th November we will be having a whole school assembly led by Mrs. Hayes.
