Senior Leadership Team

Our Senior Leadership Team oversee a wide range of key areas such as educational monitoring, assessment and data analysis, curriculum development, attendance, welfare and safeguarding, SENDCo, emotional and behavioural support, finance, compliance, premises management, marketing and business support.

 

 

Welcome to our Senior Leadership Team:

Mr Matthew Jordan - Executive Headteacher

Mr. Jordan is the Executive Headteacher of both Phoenix St. Peter Academy and Gunton Primary Academy, and responsible for the overall development and improvement of both schools. 

Matthew is a keen Scout Group Leader and enjoys sports and outdoor pursuits, as well as spending time with his family.

Mrs Terri Freeman - Deputy Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead and SEND Coordinator

Mrs. Freeman is our Deputy Head, Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCo and can be contacted by email at:  terri.freeman@phoenixstpeteracademy.org.

Terri was formally the Deputy Headteacher at Northfield St. Nicholas Primary Academy for many years and trained as a PE Teacher; she has a wealth of experience in supporting children with SEND, ensuring that every child, including those with SEND, achieve the very best they can.

Terri is devoted to her family and enjoys outdoor pursuits, keeping fit and socialising.

Mrs. Emily Hayes - Reception Class Teacher, Curriculum, EYFS & English Lead

Mrs. Hayes is a long-standing member of staff and also our Assistant Headteacher. She is responsible for our school's curriculum, literacy, as well as for Early Years and Key Stage 1.  Emily loves spending time with her daughter as much as she can.

Mrs. Lianne Buck - Maths & Music Lead 

Mrs. Buck joined Phoenix in September 2022, having relocated to Lowestoft with her family from London. Mrs. Buck is an experienced senior teacher and subject lead for maths and music and has relished both of these roles at Phoenix and  developing the school's Choir.  Lianne enjoys spending time with her husband and son and enjoying the beach and surrounding areas.

Mrs Kirsten Ward, Office Coordinator

Mrs Ward is our Office Coordinator and can be contacted by email at:  kirsten.ward@phoenixstpeteracademy.org.

Mrs. Ward joined Phoenix St. Peter Academy in January 2021, having previously been a School Business Manager for two local primary schools, before working at an Academy Trust as the Company Secretary and PA to the CEO. After a number of years in this post, she decided to return to school life.

Kirsten enjoys yoga and outdoor pursuits and spending time with her husband and two teenage children.
